Introduction: I have searched and found the ultimate parts to build an extreme gaming pc. This PC is built mostly for gaming but it can be used to make videos, graphic design etc. This PC is going to have expensive parts to be extreme, so if you want a budget pc you can go look at the $1000 pc build review. Enjoy the review about the best extreme gaming pc.
CPU: I am going to start off with the Cpu since it is one of the most important parts of the pc for gaming. The CPU I used for this PC is the magnificent 10 core/ 20 thread Intel Core i9-7900x. This CPU is one of the best in the world and is known for its outstanding performance. The base clock is 3.3GHz and can be overclocked to 4.4GHz which is fairly good. The cache for the i9-7900xis 13.75MBand its TDP is 140W, its socket is a LGA 2066. In my own experience, this CPU has got me a lot of fps in games. I tested in some games on the highest settings and these are the results, Battlefield 1: avg 148fps, Far Cry Primal: avg 108fps, Doom Vulcan: avg 147fps, CS: GO: avg 330 fps and Watch Dogs 2: avg 86 fps.
CPU cooler: For a good, long lasting Cpu you need to have a good cooler, I have chosen the Corsair Hydro H115i liquid cooler as the cooler for this pc. The Hydro H115i has fantastic cooling and does what it is supposed to do. The 280mm radiator comes with two Corsair SP140L PWM fans. Like most AIO water coolers this Cpu cooler has a lightweight aluminum radiator which helps it have a wider surface area of cooling, measuring 140mm x 312mm x 26mm, you can easily put two fans on the sides if you wish. Since it’s an AIO it already comes with the coolant and is ready to be placed in the pc. With this cooler you will not need to worry about the Cpu overheating.
GPU: Now on to the GPU. The GPU that is going to be placed in this PC is the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti X2 11GB. Many people use this GPU for their high-end gaming PC’s because it is the fastest gaming GPU in the world. This GPU has 35% faster performance than the GTX 1080. The max resolution is 7680 x 4320. The memory interface is 352-bit and the Core clock is at a whopping 1480MHz but the boost clock lets you down (1582 MHz). The GTX 1080Ti is good for an ultra-high refresh rate 1080p monitor so if your all about refresh rates this is a great choice. This GPU will also comfortably handle max settings games at 1440p at over 60fps.
PSU: For the PSU we are going to put a Corsair AX1500i. the Corsair AX1500i is a digital, 1500W and an 80 PLUS Titanium-rated PSU! I have chosen this PSU not only for its high performance but also for is features and digital platform. Right now the AXi series is Corsairs best PSU line. This PSU can power all these parts of the computer very efficiently and comfortably. The Corsair AX1500i can deliver its full power at 50 degrees Celsius. The FBD in this PSU is very helpful for increasing its reliability and longevity.
Memory: The Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-2666 32GB Kit (4x8GB) is the memory for this PC. The clock speed for this component is 2666MHz, there is better than this but I didn’t want to make this build too expensive. This RAM is designed for high performance overclocking. The Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-2666 has a low-profile heat spreader design which is good. There are different colors for this RAM so you can pick your style for your PC. The heat spreader is made of pure aluminum for faster heat dissipation, and the 8-layer PCB helps manage heat and provides superior overclocking headroom
Primary Storage: Now we are up to the primary storage which is the Samsung 960 Pro 1TB M.2 NVMe. I have chosen this storage for many good reasons, with a storage of 1TB you might be thinking why I chose this. the first reason is that it has incredible speed with a read speed of 3500MB/s and a write speed of 2100MB/s. The power for this storage is an avg of 5.3W which is pretty nice. The endurance for the Samsung 960 Pro 1TBM.2 NVMe is 800TB and it has a 5-year warranty. I think this storage is more than enough for a gaming PC.
Motherboard: Now on to one of the biggest components of the PC the. This motherboard supports the Intel x-series that is one reason to why I have chosen it. The Gigabyte X299 Aorus Gaming 9 features latest generation technologies and eye-catching RGB lights. It also has 4.6GHz clock speed. There are three M.2 slots, each one includes a solid heatsink, however, there are only 8 SATA 3 ports including 2 less than more affordable boards. The Gigabyte X299 Aorus Gaming 9 also had 8 DIMM RAM slots, the max supported size is 512GB. This motherboard is definitely faster and more efficient than other motherboards.
Case: Now finally we are up to the Case. For the case, I decided to pick the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe (Tempered Glass). The case not only looks good but has a number of features as well. Airflow is assisted by the mesh in both areas. It is also equipped with tempered glass on the side. It has an aluminum exterior, great cable management options, and beautiful LED accents.
